Crazy Heart


Released by Fox Searchlight, Informant Media’s “Crazy Heart” grossed more than $47 million at the box office. Performance in ancillary markets, including home video and television, was equally strong.

The film was nominated for three Academy Awards® for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song. Jeff Bridges won the Oscar® for Best Actor. The seminal song “The Weary Kind,” won an Academy Award® and Golden Globe® for Best Original Song. Maggie Gyllenhaal was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

Based on the novel by Thomas Cobb, the film also stars Academy Award® winner Robert Duvall and Golden Globe® winner Colin Farrell (“In Bruges”), and features an original soundtrack from Academy Award®, Golden Globe® and multiple Grammy® winner T Bone Burnett (“Cold Mountain”).
Crazy Heart also won the coveted Independent Spirit Award® for Best First Feature.

At the time of its US theatrical release, Crazy Heart was one of Fox Searchlight’s Top Ten grossing films of all time.
